Tchekov Aujourd'hui !

Tchekhov, aujourd'hui !

150 years ago, in Tsarist Russia, Chekhov painted a vivid picture of the people of his time. Meanwhile, 150 years ago in Anderlecht, the Academy of Anderlecht was founded. Today, it boasts 1,500 students across three disciplines: dance, music, and performing arts. This project seeks to unite them around three texts that shed light on human nature, its flaws, and its hopes. Music, dance, and expressive movement will come together to create a setting for these stories, which remain astonishingly relevant today.

As part of the Academy of Anderlecht’s 150th anniversary, this performance features students from various disciplines: Olivier Roisin’s expressive movement class, Ana Stegnar’s contemporary dance group, Jeanne Delsarte’s speech and drama program, and Naomi Marchant’s ensemble music students.
