Sunday 4 May from 2pm to 5pm: improvisation workshops
Sunpainting is an improvised performance that invites you to wander through an aerial labyrinth of multicoloured sails, suspended and dancing in the wind. The installation, the brainchild of Franco-American painter Virginia Isbell, originated in Latin America and is now making its European debut at The Faculty.
Sunpainting is a low-tech, sensual installation, a tribute to the wind, the sun and the plants that have left their mark on the sails. Unlike the classic museum experience, here you have to get as close as possible to the work, you have to touch it. You have to touch it to be touched, and so take part in a collective creation that is renewed each time.
Over the course of 3 afternoons/evenings, the artists and the Mouvance team invite you to discover this unique system through performances and workshops.
