DANCE INITIATION · DABKE
The Yazan Project, in collaboration with Watan Dabke, Inako, and The Faculty, invites you to an INTRODUCTION to DABKE, a vibrant and festive Arab folk dance traditionally performed at weddings and major celebrations across the Levant.
Guided by Ahmad, a talented dancer from WATAN DABKE, specializing in the traditional dances of Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, you will discover and learn the steps and the collective spirit of this unifying dance.
Dabke, a symbol of resilience and unity, is a way to celebrate Palestinian identity and show our support.
The Yazan Project was created to support Mohamed’s family, who are seeking to raise the necessary funds to evacuate their loved ones from Gaza to a safe place. All proceeds will go to support this cause.
🌟 Join us for a journey of dance, sharing, and solidarity! 🌟
